MiniMed Paradigm® REAL-Time Insulin Pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring System
The world's only system to offer both the benefits of insulin pump therapy and REAL-Time continuous glucose monitoring. The REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring component, an optional separate purchase from the insulin pump, monitors blood glucose every minute, displays updated REAL-Time glucose readings every five minutes, provides 3- and 24-hour glucose trend graphs, and alarms when blood sugar levels fluctuate too high or too low. The MiniMed Paradigm REAL-Time Insulin Pump is indicated for the management of diabetes mellitus in persons of all ages requiring insulin. The REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring components are indicated to supplement blood glucose information from standard home blood glucose meters for persons seven years and older. A separate pediatric model is indicated for patients ages 7-17. A fingerstick measurement is required before taking action.
Guardian® REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring System
A new level of protection…a new level of confidence…a new freedom in life
You get significantly more information with your Guardian REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring System than with fingersticks alone. The system displays updated glucose readings 24 hours a day—so you always know what your glucose level is, which way it's going, and how fast. This continuous glucose tracking 24 hours a day gives you a whole new level of protection, control, and peace of mind.
