Mike Bruggeman 

Mike serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of MiniMed Group, Inc. With more than 25 years of global experience, Mike is a multidisciplinary IT and operational executive who has led teams across North America, Latin America, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.  

Mike joined Medtronic Diabetes as Vice President and Chief Information Officer in 2024 and maintained that role through the company’s separation and IPO as MiniMed Group, Inc. He guided the organization’s information technology strategy through its separation and IPO, helping establish MiniMed Group, Inc. as a modern, technology-forward health tech company. Before joining Medtronic Diabetes, he served as Chief Information Officer at Orbia, where he drove major transformations and built scalable, outcome-focused technology capabilities.  

Throughout his career, Mike has been dedicated to developing aspirational yet practical IT strategies—initiatives that are both visionary and immediately actionable, delivering tangible business results. His leadership centers on innovation, continuous improvement, and the effective, grounded application of technology, architecture, and strategy to solve real business challenges. At MiniMed Group, Inc., Mike is committed to building systems and teams that accelerate the company’s mission and deliver meaningful impact for the people it serves.  

Outside of work, Mike lives in Iowa with his wife, son and two cats, and enjoys spending time outdoors.   

Education: BS in Computer Science, William Penn University; MBA, St. Ambrose University College of Business
