Software update resources for first-time MiniMed FlexTM users

Before you begin, please note the following:

  • You’ll need to finish this software update process before you can start using the MiniMed Flex pump.
  • After completing your software update, you’ll attend training to help you get set up and use the system with confidence.
  • A compatible device is needed to complete the update. Check to see if your device is compatible.  Don't have a compatible device? Contact MiniMed at 1-800-646-4633 to request an App Manager, a device with the app preloaded on it so you can use the MiniMed Flex pump.

How to update your software

Heads up: Make sure MiniMed Flex pump is fully charged and that you have set aside some uninterrupted time to complete the process (around 25 mins in most cases). 

1. Download the MiniMedTM app to your compatible mobile device

2. Open the app and sign in using your CareLinkTM Personal username and password. If you don’t have an account, follow these steps to register.

3. Download and install the software update
    Follow the steps in this guide to complete the update process. The app will also walk you through the software update step-by-step.
Once the install is complete, you are ready for your training to begin using your MiniMed Flex system.
