Calibrating your sensor

For steps on how to calibrate your sensor, select your device:

  • MiniMedTM 780G system
    • Instinct sensor, made by Abbott — The Instinct sensor will not accept calibrations, as the sensor is factory-calibrated. The MiniMed 780G system will be able to tell you if a blood glucose (BG) check is needed and guide you on next steps.
    • Simplera SyncTM sensor — The Simplera Sync sensor constantly monitors the health of the sensor to ensure it's reliable for use. The system is now free of calibrations.
    • GuardianTM 4 sensor — You do not need to calibrate. However, the system is designed to use every BG meter reading either entered manually or received from a glucose meter to calibrate the sensor.
