Yes, you can download and use both apps on the same device. However, you can only be signed into one at a time with your CareLinkTM Personal account. If you sign into one app, you’ll be automatically logged out of the other app.
To minimize the number of times you have to log in, we recommend that you do everything you need in Simplera app, such as writing down alert settings and/or the sensor serial number and code, before logging into the MiniMed Go app.
Will my SimpleraTM CGM data and settings move over to MiniMed GoTM?
Will my SimpleraTM CGM data and settings move over to MiniMed GoTM?
No, your historical sensor data and alert settings from Simplera CGM will not automatically transfer to MiniMed Go app. When setting up MiniMed Go app, you will have the option to use default glucose alert settings or to customize these alerts to your preferred settings.
If you have alert preferences you want to use, you can document them using the provided forms to help you during setup.
Your Simplera sensor glucose data and logbook entries will be saved in your CareLinkTM Personal account and can be seen in reports, but it won’t be available in the MiniMed Go app itself.
When you set up your MiniMed Go app, log in using the same CareLink Personal account that you used for Simplera app to ensure any new data continues to save to the same CareLink Personal account as before.
Can I keep using my current SimpleraTM CGM when switching to MiniMed Go?
Can I keep using my current SimpleraTM CGM when switching to MiniMed Go?
Yes! You can pair your existing sensor to MiniMed Go. If you do this, about 12 hours of your recent sensor data will show up in the new app. The sensor will not need to warm up.
Follow these steps when you’re ready to remove and re-pair your Simplera CGM with the MiniMed Go app:
- Open Simplera app
- Tap Sensor
- Tap on the active sensor
- Write down the sensor serial number and code
- Remove the sensor from your phone’s Bluetooth list
NOTE: Step 5 will unpair your active sensor and prevent new SG alerts and alarms until the sensor has been re-paired with the MiniMed Go app. To limit gaps in sensor glucose data, wait to remove the sensor from your Bluetooth list until you’re ready to re-pair with the MiniMed Go app during the in-app setup.
When you pair the current Simplera CGM to the MiniMed Go app, you will need to confirm the serial number and enter the code to complete pairing.

Will my care partners still receive my data and alerts?
Will my care partners still receive my data and alerts?
Yes, if you use the same CareLinkTM account, your care partners will continue to receive your data and alerts, even once you have migrated to MiniMed Go.
However, we recommend that your care partners review their notification settings in their CareLink Connect app after you have completed setup of your MiniMed Go app, as all notification settings will have turned back to their default values. Care partners should re-configure these alerts to their liking, as well as new ones such as Missed Dose and Correct High Glucose.
